Description

Provide rapid, stress-free relief from acute nausea and persistent vomiting with Vivaldis EmePET Oral Spray (15ml), available online at VetMitra. Formulated by Vivaldis Animal Health, EmePET harnesses Ondansetron Hydrochloride, a potent, highly selective serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist developed to inhibit emetic reflex pathways in both dogs and cats. When a pet is actively vomiting from gastrointestinal inflammation, parvoviral enteritis, renal dysfunction, or chemotherapy, administering oral pills or heavy syrups is often impossible—the pet reflexively vomits the medication before it can be digested. Vivaldis EmePET solves this clinical hurdle with its micro-mist oral spray delivery: Selective 5-HT3 Receptor Blockade: During emetic triggers, enterochromaffin cells in the gut mucosa release serotonin (5-HT), which stimulates vagal afferent nerve fibers and activates the Chemoreceptor Trigger Zone (CTZ) and the Vomiting Centre in the brainstem. Ondansetron selectively blocks these peripheral and central 5-HT3 receptors, interrupting the emetic impulse at the root. Transmucosal Buccal Absorption: Applied directly onto the inner cheek, tongue, or gums, the atomized mist is absorbed across vascularized oral mucosa, rapidly reaching therapeutic systemic blood levels without depending on stomach retention or gastrointestinal digestion. Non-Sedating Anti-Nausea Action: Unlike phenothiazine antiemetics (such as acepromazine or chlorpromazine), Ondansetron does not induce heavy sedation, drop blood pressure, or trigger extrapyramidal motor signs, allowing pets to stay alert while recovering. Critical Gastroenteritis Support: An indispensable supportive therapy in puppies battling canine parvovirus, cats fighting feline panleukopenia, acute pancreatitis, or systemic toxin-induced nausea.
