Effective 13 October 2026 · Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy governs the listing, sale and fulfilment of veterinary medicines and other regulated veterinary products through VetMitra.
All activities must comply with applicable Indian laws, licensing conditions and product-specific restrictions.
Medicines may be listed only by sellers and dispensing entities that hold the licences, registrations and authorisations required for the products and activities concerned.
VetMitra may request and verify applicable documents and suspend listings where required authorisations cannot be established.
Where a prescription is legally required, the applicable prescription must be obtained and validated before dispensing.
The seller or dispensing entity must implement the required verification, recordkeeping and dispensing process.
Prescription-required products must not be made available for unlawful purchase merely because they appear in a public catalogue.
Listings must accurately identify the product, manufacturer, composition, strength, pack size, intended species where relevant, storage conditions, warnings and other required information.
Listings must not contain false therapeutic claims, misleading dosage information or unsupported efficacy statements.
Where applicable, sellers must maintain batch or lot traceability, expiry information, storage controls and records necessary for lawful supply and recalls.
Expired, counterfeit, recalled or otherwise prohibited products must not be sold.
Cold-chain products may be supplied only where required storage and transport conditions can be maintained.
Users must comply with applicable prescription and dispensing requirements. Product information does not replace professional assessment or veterinary advice.
Users must not resell or distribute medicines unlawfully.
Medicine orders are subject to the separate Cancellation & Refunds and Return policies, including any lawful restrictions for dispatched, sealed or temperature-sensitive products.
Wrong, defective, expired, counterfeit or potentially unsafe products must be reported promptly and investigated. Any restrictions on routine returns do not remove remedies required by law.
Suspected adverse reactions, quality defects or recall concerns should be reported to vetmitra.info@gmail.com with the product name, batch details, order reference and available evidence.
Urgent animal-health concerns should be referred to an appropriate veterinary professional. Regulatory reporting will be undertaken where required.
VetMitra may suspend listings, restrict sellers, request additional records or cooperate with competent authorities as required by law.
