Virbac Cortavance Topical Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Pruritic Cutaneous Spray (Hydrocortisone Aceponate 0.584 mg/ml)

Select Variant: 76 ml

Description

Quiet unrelenting allergic itching, reduce painful skin redness, and break the chronic itch-scratch cycle without the systemic side effects of oral steroids using Virbac Cortavance Cutaneous Spray (76ml), available online at VetMitra. Allergic skin flare-ups—whether triggered by flea bites, environmental pollen (atopy), food hypersensitivities, or contact irritants—cause intense localized inflammation, heat, and pruritus. Left unchecked, companion pets relentlessly bite, lick, and scratch the affected areas, leading to self-trauma, open weeping lesions ("hot spots"), and secondary bacterial infections. While oral corticosteroids (such as prednisolone) carry risks of systemic side effects like polyuria (increased urination), polydipsia (excessive thirst), weight gain, and immunosuppressive adrenal suppression, Virbac Cortavance provides targeted topical relief: Advanced Diester Corticosteroid (Hydrocortisone Aceponate - HCA): HCA is an innovative diester glucocorticoid designed specifically for veterinary dermatology. Highly lipophilic, it penetrates rapidly into the cutaneous reservoir (stratum corneum and dermis) where inflammatory cascades occur. Once inside the dermal layers, it binds glucocorticoid receptors to halt inflammatory cytokine release. As small amounts diffuse toward systemic capillaries, it is rapidly metabolized into weak, inactive metabolites—providing high local therapeutic potency with virtually no systemic steroid burden. Rapid Anti-Pruritic & Decongestive Relief: Quickly cools red, angry skin (erythema), relieves localized swelling, and numbs the burning itch reflex, giving agitated pets prompt comfort. Non-Greasy, Fast-Drying Volatile Vehicle: Formulated without heavy ointments, waxes, or sticky gels that matt down the fur or attract dirt. The spray mist coats the epidermal surface evenly, dries within seconds, and requires zero painful rubbing onto raw, sensitive skin. Targeted Calibrated Metering Pump: Each depression of the pump delivers a consistent, measured dose (approx. 1.52 μg of HCA per square centimeter of skin at a standard distance), ensuring accurate, repeatable therapeutic application across localized lesions. Versatile Dual-Species Comfort: Safe for both canine and feline patients under veterinary guidance for localized allergic and inflammatory dermatoses.
