Description

Safeguard your dog or cat against beta-lactamase-resistant bacterial infections with Savavet Toxo-Mox Tablets (Pack of 10), available online at VetMitra. In small-animal veterinary medicine, common bacterial pathogens—including Staphylococcus pseudintermedius, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, and Proteus—frequently produce defensive beta-lactamase enzymes that hydrolyze and deactivate ordinary penicillins and plain amoxicillin. This leads to treatment failure in recurrent skin infections, bite wounds, and persistent urinary tract problems. Savavet Toxo-Mox provides bactericidal clearance powered by the synergistic combination of Amoxicillin Trihydrate and Potassium Clavulanate: Bactericidal Beta-Lactam Synergy: Amoxicillin Trihydrate: A broad-spectrum aminopenicillin that binds selectively to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located within bacterial cell walls, blocking transpeptidase enzymes and halting peptidoglycan cross-linking. This causes rapid osmotic lysis and bactericidal destruction. Potassium Clavulanate (Clavulanic Acid): Acts as a "suicide inhibitor" of beta-lactamase enzymes. It irreversibly binds to and neutralizes bacterial beta-lactamases, preventing enzymatic inactivation and restoring amoxicillin's bactericidal spectrum against resistant pathogens. Broad Aerobic & Anaerobic Pathogen Coverage: Delivers clinical efficacy against gram-positive aerobes (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.), gram-negative coliforms (E. coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella, Pasteurella multocida), and oral/soft-tissue anaerobes (Bacteroides, Fusobacterium, Clostridium perfringens). High Tissue Distribution & Urinary Concentration: Rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and distributes into cutaneous layers, gingival tissues, bronchial secretions, and the urinary bladder (where active drug concentrations exceed serum levels). Scored Tablet Convenience: Unlike liquid dry syrups that require reconstitution, refrigeration, and short discard windows (7–10 days), Toxo-Mox tablets provide stable room-temperature storage, 24-month shelf life, and center score lines for accurate weight-adjusted half-tablet dosing in adult dogs and cats.
