Description

Stop stubborn skin infections and calm severe itching with Savavet Staphban-F Ointment (10g), available online at VetMitra. Formulated by Sava Healthcare (Savavet), Staphban-F combines the targeted bactericidal power of Mupirocin (2.0%) with the potent anti-inflammatory corticosteroid Fluticasone Propionate (0.005%). Canine and feline skin flare-ups often trap pets in a self-trauma itch-scratch cycle: an allergic trigger or minor scratch causes inflammation and relentless scratching, which breaks the epidermal barrier and invites opportunistic bacteria—most notably Staphylococcus pseudintermedius. Using standard antibiotics alone leaves the itching unresolved, while using steroids alone risks bacterial explosion. Savavet Staphban-F breaks this destructive cycle with a balanced dual mechanism: Targeted Staph Eradication (Mupirocin 2%): A naturally derived pseudomonic acid antibiotic that binds specifically to bacterial isoleucyl transfer-RNA (tRNA) synthetase, completely shutting down bacterial protein synthesis. Because it possesses a distinct chemical structure unrelated to beta-lactams or fluoroquinolones, Mupirocin demonstrates virtually no cross-resistance and is highly effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus (MRSP/MRSA) strains. Rapid Anti-Pruritic Relief (Fluticasone Propionate 0.005%): A potent synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid that inhibits phospholipase A2, suppressing the release of arachidonic acid and pro-inflammatory mediators (prostaglandins and leukotrienes). It quickly calms intense redness, weeping edema, and relentless itching, helping the pet stop scratching so the skin can heal. Emollient Healing Base: The soothing ointment matrix adheres to moist, eroded lesions, shielding the wound from dirt and external contaminants while keeping the tissue hydrated for faster re-epithelialization.
