Description

Ensure uninterrupted, long-term cardiovascular management for your companion with the Savavet Safeheart 2-Pack Value Bundle (60 Tablets), available online at VetMitra. Canine heart failure—commonly driven by Myxomatous Mitral Valve Disease (MMVD / chronic degenerative valve disease) in small-to-medium breeds or Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) in large-to-giant breeds—is a progressive condition requiring consistent, twice-daily medical management. Abruptly running out of medication risks sudden cardiac decompensation, acute pulmonary edema, coughing flare-ups, and respiratory distress. This 2-box (60-tablet) economy bundle provides a sustained monthly-to-bi-monthly regimen of Pimobendan, a gold-standard inodilator: Dual Inodilator Mechanism of Action: Unlike traditional cardiac glycosides that elevate oxygen demand, Pimobendan is a non-sympathomimetic, non-glycoside molecule that delivers dual cardiovascular support: Calcium Sensitization (Positive Inotropy): Sensitizes myocardial contractile elements (troponin C) to intracellular calcium without overloading myocytes with excess calcium. This strengthens cardiac contractions and improves stroke volume without increasing myocardial oxygen demand or predisposing the heart to arrhythmias. Selective PDE-III Inhibition (Peripheral Vasodilation): Selectively inhibits phosphodiesterase III (PDE-III) in vascular smooth muscle, reducing systemic vascular resistance. This dilates both systemic arterioles (lowering cardiac afterload) and capacitance veins (lowering cardiac preload), significantly reducing the workload on an enlarged, failing heart. Alleviates Clinical Congestion: Reduces back-pressure in the pulmonary vasculature, resolving nocturnal cardiac coughing, exercise intolerance, labored breathing (dyspnea), and lethargy. Demonstrated Survival Extension: Extends the asymptomatic phase in dogs with preclinical cardiomegaly (Stage B2) and significantly improves quality of life and survival time in clinical heart failure (Stage C/D). Cost-Effective Long-Term Management: Provides pet parents with 60 continuous days of standard single-tablet daily dosing (or a full month of twice-daily therapy) at a more economical price point.
