Select Variant: 2.5 mg

Description

Manage feline and canine cardiovascular overload and protect vital renal nephrons with Savavet Aceptor (Benazepril Hydrochloride) Tablets (Pack of 10), available online at VetMitra. Systemic arterial hypertension, progressive Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and congestive cardiac conditions are interconnected degenerative disorders in companion animals. In dogs, failing heart valves or dilated ventricles cause chronic compensatory vasoconstriction, elevating vascular resistance. In cats and aging dogs, progressive nephron loss triggers renal hypertension, driving pathological protein loss (proteinuria) that accelerates structural kidney failure. Savavet Aceptor provides balanced, neurohormonal modulation powered by Benazepril Hydrochloride: Targeted ACE Inhibition: Benazepril is an active prodrug that rapidly hydrolyzes into its potent active metabolite, benazeprilat. It selectively blocks the Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE), preventing the conversion of Angiotensin I into Angiotensin II (a potent vasoconstrictor and aldosterone stimulator). Cardiac Afterload & Preload Reduction: By suppressing Angiotensin II and aldosterone production, Aceptor relaxes systemic arterial and venous beds, lowers peripheral resistance, reduces myocardial workload, and mitigates fluid retention in dogs with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM). Renal Glomerular Protection in CKD: Benazepril preferentially dilates the efferent arterioles of the renal glomeruli. This reduces intraglomerular hydrostatic pressure, dramatically decreasing renal protein leakage (proteinuria) and slowing the progression of Chronic Kidney Disease in both cats and dogs. Dual Elimination Safety Profile (Hepatic Biliary + Renal): Unlike older ACE inhibitors (such as enalapril) that depend almost exclusively on renal clearance, benazeprilat is eliminated equally through both the biliary (liver) and renal (kidney) pathways in dogs, and predominantly via biliary clearance in cats. This dual pathway prevents toxic drug accumulation in pets with moderate to severe renal insufficiency. Palatable & Scored for Dual-Species Use: Calibrated for precise dosing in small felines as well as medium and large canines, with clean score lines for fractional dose titration.
