Mankind Cefastar CV 200 mg Tablet is a combination veterinary antibiotic containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg. It is intended for use in dogs and cats when veterinary assessment indicates treatment of a susceptible bacterial infection. The combination works through antibacterial activity against susceptible organisms, with cefpodoxime interfering with bacterial cell-wall formation and clavulanic acid helping overcome certain bacterial resistance mechanisms.
