Description

Eliminate painful ear canal infections, stop compulsive head shaking, and soothe intense ear itching with Intas Pomisol Ear Drops (15ml), available online at VetMitra. The canine and feline ear canal features a distinct anatomical "L-shape" with a vertical canal descending into a horizontal canal leading to the tympanic membrane (eardrum). This dark, warm, and poorly ventilated environment easily traps moisture, ear wax, and debris—especially in floppy-eared breeds (such as Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, and Beagles) or cats suffering from ear mites. When the delicate lining becomes inflamed, opportunistic bacteria (Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas) and yeasts (Malassezia pachydermatis) proliferate together, resulting in mixed otitis externa. Pets experience acute pain, dark malodorous discharge, head tilting, ear flapping, and constant scratching that can lead to swollen aural hematomas. Intas Pomisol provides a targeted, multimodal 4-in-1 clinical approach to otic treatment: Targeted Antibacterial Action (Ofloxacin): A broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. It delivers rapid bactericidal activity against both Gram-positive and stubborn Gram-negative pathogens (such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus spp.) that commonly drive severe, purulent ear canal infections. Potent Anti-Yeast & Antifungal Clearance (Clotrimazole): An established imidazole antifungal that disrupts fungal ergosterol biosynthesis, breaking down cell membrane integrity. It clears Malassezia pachydermatis overgrowths (the primary cause of sweet, pungent, brown waxy discharge) and opportunistic fungal spores. Rapid Reduction of Canal Swelling & Itch (Beclomethasone Dipropionate): A potent topical corticosteroid that downregulates pro-inflammatory cytokines, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins. It quickly opens swollen, stenosis-prone ear canals, reduces redness (erythema), and relieves the relentless itch that drives head shaking. Immediate Local Pain Numbing (Lignocaine HCl): A fast-acting amino-amide local anesthetic that blocks voltage-gated sodium channels in sensory nerve endings lining the sensitive ear canal. It provides near-instant analgesia, easing pain so pets tolerate examination and daily treatment without stress. Dual-Species Versatility: Formulated with high tolerability for both canine and feline ear canals under veterinary guidance.
