Select Variant: 60 ml

Description

Gain firm clinical control over severe canine infectious diarrhea, clear refractory bacterial enteritis, and eradicate stubborn gut protozoa with Intas Griptol-N Oral Suspension (60ml), available online at VetMitra. Gastrointestinal infections in dogs—especially active puppies, street-rescued Indies, and dogs ingesting stagnant puddle water, spoiled garbage, or contaminated raw food—are rarely caused by a single pathogen. Pathogenic bacterial invaders (E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Clostridium perfringens) frequently co-infect alongside invasive intestinal protozoa (Giardia lamblia, Coccidia). These mixed microbial insults damage the intestinal villi, destroy brush-border absorptive surfaces, trigger acute fluid hypersecretion, and cause painful abdominal cramping, foul mucoid stools, or bloody dysentery. Standard first-line diarrhea medications (such as standalone metronidazole or older quinolones) often suffer from emerging microbial resistance, poor palatability, short half-lives requiring frequent dosing, and neurotoxic risks at higher dosages. Intas Griptol-N overcomes these limitations via a Synergistic Dual-Action Antimicrobial Matrix: Next-Generation Fluoroquinolone Power (Levofloxacin Hemihydrate): The active pure (-)-(S)-enantiomer of ofloxacin, delivering up to twice the bactericidal potency of racemic ofloxacin. It selectively binds and inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, halting bacterial DNA supercoiling, transcription, and replication. This provides bactericidal eradication of Gram-negative bacilli (E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella) and aerobic pathogens. Potent Anaerobic & Antiprotozoal Action (Ornidazole): A modern second-generation 5-nitroimidazole derivative that is reduced by microbial nitroreductases into cytotoxic nitro radical intermediates. These reactive intermediates disrupt and fragment parasite/anaerobic DNA strands, eradicating anaerobic pathogens (Clostridium difficile, Clostridium perfringens, Bacteroides) and protozoa (Giardia, Coccidia, and Entamoeba). Superior Clinical Profile Over Metronidazole: Ornidazole exhibits significantly longer plasma elimination half-life, higher tissue bioavailability, lower hepatic burden, and a much wider margin of neurological safety—virtually eliminating the metronidazole-induced central nervous system toxicities (vestibular ataxia, nystagmus, head tilts) frequently seen in dogs. Firm Control Over Fluid Loss & Dysbiosis: Rapidly stops active hypersecretion and mucosal inflammation, firming unformed stools within 24 to 48 hours to prevent severe dehydration and electrolyte collapse. Flavored Oral Suspension with Feeding Spoon: The smooth, palatable liquid format eliminates tablet-splitting struggles and comes with an oral spoon for precise milliliter titration in puppies and toy breeds.
