Select Variant: 1 strip (10 tablets)

Description

Clear stubborn bacterial pyoderma, resolve painful urinary tract infections, and eradicate deep wound pathogens with Intas Cefpet 100mg Tablets (Strip of 10), available online at VetMitra. Systemic bacterial infections in dogs and cats frequently fail to respond to common first-line antibiotics (such as amoxicillin or cephalexin) due to widespread bacterial resistance, beta-lactamase enzyme degradation, or sub-therapeutic tissue penetration. Compromised skin barriers from atopic dermatitis, traumatic puncture bite wounds, contaminated abscesses, and ascending bacterial cystitis require an advanced antimicrobial agent capable of reaching high concentrations in dermal and urogenital tissues. Intas Cefpet 100mg delivers potent bactericidal clearance through its advanced cephalosporin pharmacokinetics: Targeted Cell-Wall Lysis (Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100mg): An orally bioavailable prodrug ester that rapidly hydrolyzes in vivo to active cefpodoxime. As a third-generation cephalosporin, it binds tightly to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) involved in bacterial peptidoglycan cell wall synthesis. This inhibits transpeptidation, triggering autolytic enzyme activation and rapid bactericidal cell wall disintegration. Enhanced Beta-Lactamase Stability: Demonstrates significantly greater stability against plasmid- and chromosome-mediated beta-lactamase enzymes produced by stubborn pathogens compared to first-generation cephalosporins, ensuring high clinical efficacy against resistant strains of Staphylococcus pseudintermedius. Broad-Spectrum Aerobic Coverage: Combines high potency against Gram-positive cutaneous pathogens (Staphylococcus pseudintermedius, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus canis) with extended activity against Gram-negative uropathogens (Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida). Convenient Once-Daily Dosing (SID): Due to high bioavailability and extended plasma elimination half-life, Cefpet achieves sustained bactericidal tissue concentrations above the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) with a single daily dose, eliminating the stress of multiple daily pilling sessions. Dual-Species Clinical Utility: Approved and well-tolerated across canine and feline patients under veterinary prescription.
