Description

Accelerate tissue regeneration, combat microbial contamination, and protect delicate healing wounds from flies and secondary infections with Himalaya Scavon Vet Cream, available online at VetMitra. Traumatic skin lacerations, post-operative surgical incisions (spay/neuter lines), abrasive scrapes, infected hot spots, and superficial fungal lesions are everyday clinical challenges for pet parents. Open wounds left untreated or exposed to humid tropical environments quickly invite bacterial biofilm formation, fungal overgrowth, intense itching that drives destructive self-licking, and devastating housefly egg deposition leading to myiasis (maggoted wounds). Himalaya Scavon Vet Cream provides comprehensive topical wound therapy powered by traditional botanical bioactives: Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial & Antifungal Action (Neem / Nimba): Rich in bioactive azadirachtin, nimbin, and nimbidin, Neem destroys pathogenic bacteria (Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas) and dermatophytes, maintaining a sterile wound bed and preventing purulent discharge. Rapid Collagenization & Epithelialization: Stimulates dermal fibroblast proliferation, promotes early collagen fiber deposition, and accelerates marginal neo-epithelialization across wound edges. This significantly shortens healing time and minimizes excessive fibrous scar tissue formation. Fly-Repellent & Larvicidal Barrier (Cedarwood / Devadaru & Eucalyptus / Tailapatra): Naturally rich in aromatic sesquiterpenes and cineole, which emit a potent botanical scent that repels common flies (Musca domestica, Calliphora spp.). This effectively prevents fly strike and maggot infestation while helping eliminate existing superficial larvae. Anti-Inflammatory & Antipruritic Soothing Effect: Cools irritated, erythematous wound margins, reduces burning sensations, and breaks the itch-scratch-lick cycle, helping the wound heal without self-inflicted trauma. Non-Stinging, Protective Emollient Base: Adheres smoothly over uneven, contoured body surfaces—such as paw pads, ear flaps, tail tips, and ventral abdomens—creating a physical protective shield against dirt and environmental debris.
